PETE A. LEIJA - Abilene TX

Pete Leija was born and raised in Houston Texas. He entered the service in March 1988 and served for more than 13 years as an enlisted Aerospace Propulsion Technician before he earned his commission in 2001 from Officer Training School. He served in various maintenance officer positions at the squadron, group, and Advanced Maintenance & Ammunitions Officer School level.
Pete retired in November 2020 after nearly 33 total years of service and reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His last assignment in the Air Force gave him the privilege of being the Commander of the 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. While traveling the world he had 19 assignments and a multitude of them being overseas to include 3 combat tours to Saudi Arabia, Baghdad Iraq, and a 1-year tour as a Commander in Kandahar Afghanistan. Pete maximized his time in the military earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics in 1995. He also spent 13 years in the private security industry while off-duty as he had a passion for helping and protecting others. In 2008 he was hand-selected to attend the U.S. Air Force Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Officer School in Nevada where he earned his instructor’s certification. He later finished and earned two separate master’s degrees as well as was decorated with the Bronze Star Medal for his time in Afghanistan. Pete and his family decided to stay in Abilene, Texas after retiring from the military and continued to follow in his entrepreneur business mindset and is the owner two businesses. He partnered with another military veteran and opened a private security company called Lone Star Tactical Services. This company started in May 2022 and was designed to be a Tactical Training School as well as a security company providing services to Abilene and the West Texas area.

W. GLEN PUGH - Abilene Texas

Glen Pugh

Glen Pugh was born in Tyler, Texas and graduated high school in 1987 in Van, Texas.  He entered the service in June 1988, as a weapons technician serving in a wide variety of duties in aircraft maintenance, field training, technical training and First Sergeant.  Glen has also deployed to numerous locations in support of Operations DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM and Combined Task Force-HORN OF AFRICA.  Glen retired in July 2018 after 30 years of active military service at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. During his last duty assignment in the Air Force, Glen served as the Wing Weapons Manager and finished off the last two years as the superintendent for the 7th Maintenance Group, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas where he was the principal advisor to the Maintenance Group Commander on all issues relating to bomber and airlift aircraft and equipment maintenance. He advised the commander on all concerns affecting the overall morale and welfare for 1,500 assigned personnel spanning 20 Air Force Specialty Codes. Also, while on active duty, Glen earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University. Additionally, in his off-duty time, he worked four years in the private security industry. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Glen worked as the Regional Director for U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington and currently works as the District Representative for Texas State Senator Dawn Buckingham and co-owns Lone Star Tactical Services in Abilene, Texas with his good friend Pete Leija. Glen is married to his best friend Mieka, also a retired veteran, and has three children and four grandchildren. Glen and Mieka decided to retire in Abilene and continue to serve a great community that also has a passion for serving others.

James Beadel - Lake Jackson / Houston

James Beadel was born and raised in Brownwood Texas. He joined the Lake Jackson Fire Department, in February 2005 and has served for more than 19 years as a firefighter/ paramedic in (first responder) in various services. He served in various officer positions as a captain, or team leader. James is still an active firefighter/ paramedic in the
Houston area Texas. While in serving, James has deployed in and out of Texas for disasters Response. Before becoming a first responder James received an associate degree in Process Technologies, and worked for
worked for Dow Chemical for 17 years, both as a Process Operator, and a Emergency Responder, he currently works for BASF as an Emergency responder for 5 years. James has worked in the security industry for 8 years, to help and protect others. James has had many years of being a trainer, weather in the fire service, in the EMS field, or as an operator.
In 2019 James started his own business teaching gun safety courses, License to Carry classes, and other emergency response classes. In 2022 James joined with Lone Star Tactical, and created the Lone Star

 Lajarius Turks is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional with a diverse background in sports, industry, and security. Born in 1992 in Benton, Louisiana, Lajarius completed his high school education at Benton High School in 2010, where he showcased his athletic prowess by participating in football, basketball, and track. After high school, Lajarius pursued his passion for football by playing semi-professionally for the Shreveport Storms and West Texas Prime from 2011 to 2019. His commitment, skill, and leadership on the field earned him recognition and respect from his teammates and coaches. Continuing his educational journey, Lajarius attended the University of Phoenix and Career Technical College in Shreveport, where he expanded his knowledge and honed his skills. Always seeking new challenges and opportunities, he later relocated to West Texas, specifically Midland-Odessa, where he embarked on a career in the oil field. For three years, Lajarius worked diligently with Katch Kam, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the success of various projects. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work well with teams positioned him for further growth and advancement. This led him to a role as a lineman with ML Power, where he served for four years, ensuring the safe and reliable transmission of power. In 2021, Lajarius transitioned into the field of security and became a certified security officer. With a deep sense of responsibility and a commitment to protecting his community, he has dedicated himself to safeguarding the home front of West Texas. Currently, Lajarius serves as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Monahans ISD, providing protection and ensuring the safety of the school district in Monahans, Texas. Lajarius Turks is known for his professionalism, integrity, and dedication to excellence in all his endeavors. He was born in August of 1992 and raised in Odessa, Texas as well as spending time growing up in San Antonio. He pursued his education at Permian High School before spending a semester in Cisco and returning to Odessa to play Semi-professional football for both the West Texas Drillers and Sky Force. He began his career in the oilfield where he has thrived since 2012, even working his way up to management. Travorjshe has spent the last 8 years working as a security officer where his ambition and hard-working mentality led him to create his own security team. He has successfully protected many local schools and continues to protect several local establishments. He is an incredibly focused individual who strives to make a positive impact on his community and his long list of certifications speak for themselves.
